December 2023 I opened my first exposition in cafe Bern on the Nieuwmarkt, Amsterdam
A while ago I was invited to expose a collection of trashcans in cafe Bern. Back in the beginning of 2023 I started a series on my instagram called “trashcan of the day” where I challenged myself to simply draw one everyday and post it. Lots of people around kept suggesting more kinds and man, there are and endless amount of trashcan kinds, and all so recognisable and fun!
So I kept it going, and they kept on fascinating me. For nearly half a year I got to experiment on these seemingly “ugly” everyday objects and challenge the way we perceive them.
And after all of that, even display them in an exposition!
